Plan 9 from Outerspace is a 1959 film, directed by the GREAT Ed Wood, about aliens who resurrect dead humans as zombies and vampires to stop humankind from creating the Solaranite (a sort of sun-driven bomb). It is widely regarded as a cult film and one of the worst movies ever made. (We LOVE it.)
